2. How to Change Final Graduation Application Status

Visit the Yonsei Portal System (http://portal.yonsei.ac.kr) Login → Academic Information System → Graduation → Graduation Application

3. References

   1) Graduation qualification review is applicable only to students who apply for "Graduation" or "Completion of Course" (hereinafter "Completion"). Students who have applied for graduation delay (Application Type: I would like to continue my studies without graduating while taking additional courses) and students on a leave of absence are not eligible for the review.

   ■ If you have fulfilled the graduation requirements and no longer wish to take courses, you must apply for "Graduation" or "Completion".

   ■ For graduation-delay applicants who have already fulfilled the graduation requirements, you must register for at least one course during your final regular semester to maintain enrolled status in order to apply for "Graduation" or "Completion".

   ■ Not Eligible for Graduation or Completion

      • Students who fulfill the graduation requirements by completing the summer/winter session while on a leave of absence.

      • Students on a leave of absence who have completed the graduation requirements.

      • Students who have fulfilled the graduation requirements but did not register for any classes in their final regular semester.

   2) The certificate of expected graduation for the current semester will be issued only to "Graduation" applicants.

   3) Students who wish to declare a minor, micro major, 3rd (or more) major, or intensive major must select and save the desired major when applying for graduation or completion. Failure to apply will result in exclusion from the review for those majors.

   4) Please note that this is the final period to change your graduation application status for the Spring 2026 semester. No changes can be made after this period.

   5) Graduation qualification review results will be available after August 6 (Thu), 2026, on the Yonsei Portal System.

   6) Important Notes for Students Confirmed as "Completion"

      ■ If your review result is confirmed as completion, your academic status will be changed to "Completion" as of the Commencement Day in August 2026. (You are not eligible to graduate in August 2026).

      ■ Additional minor, micro major, or intensive major applications cannot be made after "Completion" is confirmed.

      ■ Once your status has changed to "Completion", it cannot be changed back to a current/enrolled student status.

      ■ Students in "Completion" status cannot enroll in courses or apply for a leave of absence starting from the Fall 2026 semester. Use of the library, dormitory, and shuttle bus may be restricted.

      ■ Students in "Completion" status will be issued a certificate of student status (재적증명서), and a certificate of expected graduation can only be issued if you change your status to "Graduation Application".

      ■ Students in "Completion" status can graduate on the following February or August Commencement Day if they apply for graduation during their desired semester (Application deadline: end of January / end of July).

      ■ "Completion" status can only be maintained within the maximum period of enrollment. You will automatically graduate in your final semester of the enrollment period.

      ■ Students in "Completion" status are not eligible for Academic Honors (Highest Honors / High Honors).

      ■ A Foreign student with D-2 visa must leave Korea within 30 days from the bachelor's degree completion date (학사학위 수료일) unless the student possesses another type of valid visa since the D-2 visa expires on the completion date (학사학위 수료일).
