After You Arrive

Moving to a new country is exciting and also confusing. In the first few weeks, there are many new things to learn about and accomplish. This information will help you as you settle in at Yonsei.

Upon arrival at Incheon International Airport, you can use various transportation options to get to Yonsei University.

The orientation for newly employed full-time faculty will be held in February and August, before the new semester begins.

The details will be informed by the Office of Academic Affairs, and it is highly recommended for newly employed full-time professors to attend the orientation to get important information to settle yourself in at Yonsei.

Yonsei University ID card can be used as a transportation card (rechargeable), debit card, and access card for the libraries. Application details will be informed during the orientation.

You can apply for Yonsei ID Card at Yonsei Portal > Administration Information System > Issue ID Card.

Foreigners intending to stay in Korea for more than 90 days after entry are required to apply for Foreigner Registration at the immigration office. Yonsei OIA(Office of International Affairs) will send the details of the foreigner registration.

If your address, mobile number, email address in Korea is determined, you are required to update your personal information at Yonsei Portal when the new semester begins.

Now it is time to explore Yonsei and Korea. As a scholar at Yonsei University, you are encouraged to participate in all aspects of life on and off campus. It is also highly recommended for you to keep a safety guideline with you at all times.
