Office of International Affairs holds 'Japanese Culture Day' at Global Lounge

Various programs related to Japanese culture, such as traditional clothing, traditional toy experience, and play experience, are conducted

Hosted by the Office of International Affairs and organized by Yonsei Global Student Club, Global Day for Fall 2022 was held at the Baekyang Nuri Global Lounge on November 10 and 11 under the theme of Japanese culture.

The theme of this semester is "Japanese Culture Day, Japan Day," and various programs related to Japanese culture were held, including traditional Japanese clothing and traditional toys experience, making katakana name tags, and playing with King Kyo-Sukui (goldfish picking).

A total of 400 students participated in the event for two days, and participants were provided with Japanese "Takoyaki" and simple "Tasting Beverages," and Japanese-related souvenirs were provided through a lottery.

In particular, the event was meaningful in that it had opportunities for global cooperation between students by collaborating with Japanese exchange students from Japan and the United States under the support of the Global One-Stop Service Center of the International Office.

Global Day is a representative event that helps our university students actively interact with other cultures and broaden their perspective on the world and is held regularly twice a year.
